The Marina

Willowtree Marina, located on the Paddington Arm of the Grand Union Canal in West London, offers that rare combination of easy accessibility, security and attractiveness for so many canal based activities.

There is a quiet pride in what is on offer here and we hope you will feel this too. Willowtree Marina has set its sights on becoming a leader on the Inland Waterways. A desire to uphold the best of our canal past has been coupled to a management commitment for Customer Care, Quality Assurance and Environmental Protection.

Whatever it is you are looking for - be it moorings for boats, locations for filming, a centre for canal events, wildlife photography, walking, boat hire base, etc. - Willowtree Marina should be your first port of call.

Aylesbury Arm Lock Collapse

The six mile long Aylesbury Arm of the Grand Union Canal is closed after the serious collapse of one wall of Buckland Lock No 12, one of 18 on the stretch into Aylesbury town centre writes Harry Arnold.

Initial investigations have now been concluded by Canal & River Trust (CRT) engineers and contractor May Gurney, but much more investigation will be necessary to ascertain the precise reasons for the wall collapse and in order to finalise a design solution.

The arm will remain closed to navigation between Locks 11 and 13 until works are completed and Lock No 1 – at the junction with the Grand Union main line - is also locked to prevent boats entering the Aylesbury Arm

Anyone moored on the Aylesbury Arm and wishing to discuss the situation should contact the CRT South East administration team on 0303 0404040.

“Fixing this problem certainly isn’t going to be cheap,” said Jeff Whyatt, CRT South East waterway manager. “We are a charity and don’t have an endless pot of money, so it is likely we will have to make the difficult decision on what slightly less urgent, but just as important, repairs can be postponed whilst we work on these emergency repairs.”

Unsolicited Testimonial

"My 2+ years experience with Willowtree Marina has been superlative in every sense. Every single member of staff has gone above and beyond to exceed every
expectation I had of the Marina. In fact, they've been like family
offering good advice which saved me countless hours and substantial amounts of money. They were always quick to offer after hours help when I needed it, and the most professional warm-hearted support throughout
several difficult boat transitions
