As you probably
know, the Environment Agency plan to sell off a number of Lock Keepers
Cottages on the River Thames. The residential Lock Keepers, as well
as maintainin their beautifully cottages and gardens for the enjoyment
of all, are generally on site to deal with any emergency or crisis
out of normal lock opening hours. The EA have failed to address
this issue in their assessment. If you think this is outrageous,
and a great deal of the 'spirit' of the River will be lost forever,

and add your name to the government's petition.
